We genuinely love spending our weekends capturing the love between two people. Each wedding is as unique as the love shared by those around us. However, we have to be honest, when we get to capture a wedding that feels truly unlike any other wedding we have been to before it is absolutely exhilarating . Hannah and Alex shared their vows in an Indiana schoolhouse surrounded by their friends and family. Their florals and details were simple greens, whites, and grays. It was clear that guests were meant to enjoy each others company without distraction. Our favorite photographs from this wedding come from the times we got to sneak the bride and groom away for a few stolen private moments. What a treat it was to be a part of this day!
Poorvi and Sunny were married at The Drake under a mandap adorned with white florals and twinkling candles. The ceremony was followed by capturing the wedding party, a quick change in attire, and a tour around Chicago to steal some more intimate moments between the lovely couple. They then proceeded to the reception which was also held at The Drake. It was such an honor to capture this beautiful love story!
We celebrated a busy summer season with our fellow Chicago wedding industry family a few weeks ago at DL studio! It was so wonderful to show our friends how much we appreciate them especially during our busiest time of year. We sipped champagne & cocktails, feasted on a six foot charcuterie board, enjoyed the latest trends in tablescapes, and cooled off with delicious gelato. This event wouldn’t have been possible without our lovely collaborators: Festive Frog, Bubbly Truck, Black Dog Gelato, Leap Weddings, and of course our host Debi Lily. We also wanted to give a special thank you to Modern Luxury Weddings, Union Horse, and Val Smeshko for their contributions.
Summertime in Chicago, is there a more beautiful season to capture your family? We think not, and the Leone family agrees.
What a stunning summer morning for an engagement session! We brought Kelsey and Joe to some of our favorite spots in Chicago to capture their sweet love.
A beautiful day spent with a beautiful couple! These two just radiated so much love for one another, and we couldnt have had more fun capturing it along with all of their friends! Bridget and Adam were married at Old St Patricks Church followed by a reception at Morgan’s Manufacturing. Florals are by Life in Bloom.
A boudoir shoot with one of our very favorite models Willow Star. This is such a fun way for a bride to celebrate their engagement or for you to celebrate yourself! It is so important to us that you feel comfortable with your photographer and comfortable with the setting. We highly suggest meeting with one of our photographers beforehand to discuss how we can best accommodate you and to make sure you have found the right match! Then it is time to let the magic begin!
A few weeks ago we had the absolute joy of capturing local Chicago artist Anna Murphy in action as she worked on a mural outside of Soho House Chicago in the West Loop. Her attention to detail is absolutely breathtaking, and it was fascinating to watch her work. Then we got to tour her studio and snap a few shots of her in her element. Needless to say we have loved getting to know Anna as a person and as an artist. Go follow her on instagram to see what she is working on @annapmurphy
Spring has arrived, and with it Spring engagement sessions! With it comes a level of excitement for Chicagoans anticipating warm weather. We have waded through negative temperatures and feet of snow, and now we are ready to embrace flower buds, green trees, and drinks on the patio.
Still a little chilly outside? No problem. Sneak into a sweet wine bar or your favorite neighborhood pub to warm up! We love visiting your favorite places because we can really capture your story as authentically as possible!
Chicago provides so many memorable spots to capture a sweet moment! If you’re feeling especially brave climb up on the LaSalle St bridge so we can capture you framed by the gorgeous Chicago skyline.
The most important part of any engagement session is having fun! As cheesy as it sounds your friends and family don’t want to see you stiff as a board. You’re in love! Get silly and let your personalities jump off an image. That way when you send out those Holiday cards and engagement announcements those who know you best can say “Oh that is so you!”
Spring is here, and we’re reminiscing on this gorgeous April wedding from last year! Maureen and Dave had the sweetest Spring wedding! This couple and their crew was so adventurous and fun. We absolutely adored their willingness to adventure outside in the rain to get some amazing shots on Kinzie Street Bridge.
